Funeral services for Mr. William Cecil Cleek, Sr. age 94, of Shelbyville, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 2, 2012 in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Bierovic officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Mount Cemetery. Mr. Cleek passed away Sunday evening, May 29, 2012 at Celebration Way Assisted Living.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born July 23, 1917 in the Richmond Community, he was the son of the late William Thomas Cleek & Julia Delk Cleek and was preceded in death by his wife Melba Pressgrove Cleek, children Faye Gilliland & Ralph Cleek, grandchildren; LaTisha & Blain Gilliland. He was retired from Altamill Corp in Tullahoma, served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 191st Field Artillery in Europe, member of the V.F.W. and the First Christian Church.

Survivors; sons; William “Billy” Cleek Jr. and wife Peggy of Flat Creek, Edward Wayne “Eddie” Cleek of Shelbyville, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or the charity of your choice.
